Jamie Edward

Jamie Edward blends his passions for science and design to create artwork that reflects our deep connection with the world around us. Originally from Melbourne (Naarm), he draws inspiration from his life in Tasmania, which has shaped his exploration of the natural and built environments, technology, human connection, and the significance of place. His work centres on the ways in which the sun, stars, moon, natural systems, and life cycles have influenced visual language and symbolism throughout history, seeking to explain our past and imagine our future. Edward produces artwork that is both unrestrained and thoughtful offering a playful yet profound commentary on the human condition.

Now based in lunawani / Bruny Island, Edward works as a visual artist, illustrator, designer, and mural painter. He holds a Bachelor of Science from ACU (2007) and a Bachelor of Communication Design from RMIT (2012).
